Iowa's Templeton Rye will soon be made in Iowa.

The rye whiskey is currently distilled and aged in Indiana and finished and bottled in the company's facility in Templeton, Ia. But state records show the company plans to move production to Iowa.

Officials with the company could not immediately be reached for comment.

Templeton Rye plans to build two barrel aging warehouses totaling 64,500 square feet and a 34,500 square foot distillery in Templeton, according to Iowa Economic Development Authority documents. At its Friday morning meeting, the Iowa Economic Development Authority board will consider about $1.6 million in tax credits and tax refunds for the western Iowa company.
