The park and ride lot at the intersection of Iowa 21 and U.S. 30 in Tama and Benton counties will temporarily close Monday, April 3, so the site can be used as a Portland concrete cement plant for a road construction project on Iowa 21, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Marshalltown construction office.

This park and ride site will be reopened for use once the road construction project has been completed by the end of June 2017.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
