Iowa's 2016 honey crop not as sweet, with value dropping 7%

Iowa moved to 19th place nationally in honey production, down from 18th in 2015, the report said, focusing on producers with five or more colonies.
Iowa added about 1,000 honey-producing colonies, climbing to 37,000 last year. The number did not include producers with fewer than 5 colonies or producers who did not harvest honey.
