The Iowa Organic Association (IOA) is delivering a free Organic Egg Production Field Day for farmers and others interested in learning from local experts about the process, resources, and opportunities for organic egg production in Iowa.

The Organic Egg Production Field Day will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Farmers Hen House in Kalona, Iowa. Participants will gain first-hand knowledge from Ryan Miller, owner of Farmers Hen House, about its history, best practices for organic egg production and how the packing facility operates. This Field Day also includes a tour of Chester Yoder’s poultry farm in Kalona – one of the many local farms that supplies eggs to Farmers Hen House.
