A hot-mix asphalt pavement resurfacing project on Iowa 93 in Tripoli will require closing the roadway to traffic beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office.

Replacement of sanitary sewers related to this project will require detouring traffic around the work zone using Bremer County roads V-43, C-33, V-56, and Iowa 93 until Saturday, July 28.

This project will be completed by early October 2018.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
