The Iowa Farm Bureau Foundation improves the quality of life for rural Iowans. It's that simple – the Foundation gives back to those who have provided so much richness in our state and nation throughout the years.

Building Iowa's values by recognizing and responding to significant changes in Iowa – those that fundamentally affect families and communities.

EDUCATION
The Iowa Farm Bureau Foundation partners with organizations to make farm life safer and healthier for children through education and training.

FARM INCOME
To help our farming economy prosper, the Foundation provides ongoing training for farmers. The Foundation offers educational opportunities and seminars in the areas of new technology and farming practices, marketing, leadership, estate and business planning.

HEALTH
Attracting and maintaining quality health providers is a vital concern for rural Iowans. The Foundation is devoted to providing resources for family practice physicians who commit to serving our rural communities. The Foundation offers scholarships to graduating medical students with family practice residencies.

  RURAL FAMILY MEDICINE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Iowa Academy of Family Physicians Foundation (IAFPF) Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship in Family Medicine seeks to encourage residents, after graduating from an Iowa family medicine residency program, to pursue a medical career in Iowa communities under 10,000 population. Four $2,500 scholarships will be awarded.

   ROLL OVER PROTECTION

Farming continues to rank as one of the most dangerous occupations in the nation. That's why the Iowa Farm Bureau Foundation, in cooperation with Virginia Farm Bureau Safety, is offering a new rollover protective structure (ROPS) incentive program to urge farmers to make farm safety a top priority.

  EASTER SEALS

Easter Seals Iowa has received $15,000 from the Iowa Farm Bureau Foundation to help farmers with disabilities keep farming through the Easter Seals Iowa Rural Solutions Program.

Since it was founded 20 years ago, the Easter Seals Iowa Rural Solutions Program has helped nearly 1,400 Iowa families affected by disabilities remain active in farming.The program provides individualized assistance to farmers with disabilities help make their homes, farms and equipment accessable.

The program provides a rural rehabilitation specialist to perform an assessment of the home and farming operation. Changes may include housing accommodations, hand tool adaptations, livestock handling equipment, farm machinery modifications, remote control switches and more.
