Transportation & Rural Infrastructure State Wide Action Team |

Welcome to the Transportation and Rural Infrastructure webpage. This page serves as the virtual hub for SWAT Team issues and information related to commodity transportation, roads, rivers, locks, dams, river flow, load limits, bridges, roads & right of ways, recording keeping requirements, HAZMAT issues, licensing issues, etc.
Communication with the Transportation SWAT Team is virtual, meaning that meetings, discussions, and information will be conducted via e-mail and the Internet. In-person opportunities are limited primarily to the IFBF Annual Meeting in August (for issue surfacing) and at the Policy Information Conference in March (issue education and programming).
Members enrolled in the Transportation SWAT will be involved in several ways:
- Receive education and information to become a well-informed “panel of expert” on transportation issues
- Provide input to the organization in issue surfacing
- Participate in policy implementation, including giving verbal comments at public hearings, writing comments, and being involved in other lobbying efforts
- Provide input on Farm Bureau programming needs
