PROGRESS AND CHALLENGES IN NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT

This report by the Iowa Nutrient Management Task Force is the work of more than 30 representatives of Iowa commodity groups, agribusinesses and Farm Bureau, along with advisors representing state and federal government and academia. The task force, which drafted this report from July 1999-December 2000, thoroughly discussed more than 30 general nutrient management issues with information presented to the task force by Iowa and national experts.

The report reexamines an original 1991-92 report by this group, updates progress on the original recommendations, and outlines 25 specific new recommendations for addressing current and future nutrient management challenges and opportunities in Iowa.
